Mount Vernon Cancer Services - Satellite Radiotherapy: Redesign Focus Groups

An online focus group for people who live in, or near, central and northern Hertfordshire, and southern and central Bedfordshire, especially those who have experienced radiotherapy treatment as patients or carers. The focus group will look at what is important in a radiotherapy service, and what we do and do not need to consider in choosing a location for a new radiotherapy service in the area, which would be in addition to radiotherapy services at the new Mount Vernon cancer centre. Participants will see the modelling work which shows what might happen to patient numbers if a new service was introduced in different places, to help consider how best to improve access to radiotherapy for people in this area. Each focus group will have a limited number of places so we can have a good discussion. There will be five satellite radiotherapy focus groups but you only need to attend one as they will all be the same. They are arranged on different days and at different times, and use either Teams or Zoom so you can choose your preferred video conferencing platform.
