East of England Cancer Alliances: Let's talk about Cancer
Let’s Talk about Cancer: Cancer awareness, common signs and symptoms.
Tuesday 12 September 6.30 pm – 7.30 pm.
This group of people who have all experienced cancer themselves are putting on a series of talks and information sessions designed to raise awareness and give people an opportunity to ask any questions of our expert speakers or experienced patients. We hope that you can join us. This is the first in a series of events which will be held every few months.
For our first event we have invited a local GP Dr Elizabeth Towers and one of our Patient Partnership Group members to share their knowledge and experiences of the common signs and symptoms of cancer. We know that reporting signs and symptoms as soon as possible enables any suspect cancer in the body or blood to be detected early on, and an early diagnosis enables more effective treatment, a greater chance of survival and a better patient outcome. We want to raise awareness of what signs and symptoms you should be talking to your GP about.
This will be an online event, please email england.eoecancerallianceteam@nhs.net to register a place and to be send the link to join the event or visit our website. Let’s Talk about Cancer :: East of England Cancer Alliance
We encourage members of the public who are concerned about unusual changes in their body such as lumps or unexplained continuous pain, to report signs and symptoms to their GP practice as soon as possible.
