Boost for GP patients in north Bedford

GP patients in north Bedford will enjoy improved new facilities, when the De Parys Avenue Surgery moves to the renovated Enhanced Service Centre in Kimbolton Road from Monday 12 August.
Healthwatch Bedford Borough news boost for gp patients in north bedford.

This is the first part of The De Parys Group (TDPG) services moving to the Enhanced Service Centre. In November, the Pemberley Avenue and 2 Goldington Road surgeries will also move to the Enhanced Service Centre. The exact date of the move in November will be confirmed closer to the time via the practice. Patients will receive updated communication from the practice ahead of the November relocation.

No changes are planned to the services delivered from TDPG branch sites in Bromham and Church Lane.

The move will mean services are provided at a modern, purpose-designed building, with additional capacity, letting local NHS services continue to improve access to a range of appointments.

Cllr Martin Towler, Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhoods and Communities: Health and Wellbeing said;

 “TDPG is one of the largest GP practices in the region, as well as being one of the largest training practices.

“This move will benefit patients, whilst ensuring trainee and student GPs, nurses, clinical pharmacists, nurse associates and health care assistants are retained for the population of Bedford Borough.”

There will be no change in the way patients book appointments as a result of this move, and they are not required to take any action or contact the surgery regarding the move at this stage.
